Pogacar would have crashed anyway. The UnoX's move was reckless.

It's very revealing to change your mind like that depending on how much you dislike the rider.

Even in an accidents, you can't leave these issues aside?
Aren't there any red lines even in this?
Are we going to use accidents to continue with phobias? 🙄

Lynching or insuting Del Toro for an accidente is the same thing as lynching Johanessen

No official results outside of top 30 yet.
I think the DSes are talking with the judges to neutralise the gaps.

I think it was a bit silly not to have a neutralisation point on what is effectively an uphill bunch sprint on narrow roads.

Ciccone seemed to get the worst of it. I really hope, for his sake, it won't affect his Vuelta, hes been impressive many times this year just to run into something detrimental.
True, but that's pretty much every season of his career. I hope it does affect his Vuelta in that he goes there for the KOM/stagehunting, rather than GC.

he did finish in the 11s group - what can they do?

Only option is to penalize him for dangerous behaviour or whatever, but the stage result itself is correct.
My bad!

A yellow card is in place.

Del Toro gained over a minute on Ciccone in GC today. The most succesful GT attack of his career.

The Mexican will be drinking margaritas in Guadeloupe in a week's time.
If Ciccone's Vuelta is ruined...
It would suck.
If UAE had been planning to send him to the Tour de Guadeloupe I wouldn't have been surprised in all honesty after the barrelled fish shoots they've sent him out on.

They missed the chance though, as it is going on as we speak.

In two minds about this one. On the one hand it's pretty f*cked up that Del Toro can crash his main rival out of GC contention without facing any consequences, on the other hand the way you'd have to make the rules to punish situations like this is a whole other can of worms. Compare for example to short track speed skating where a skater A is always deemed to have broken the rules if skater B crashes due to any action by skater A, which regularly causes DQs for manoeuvres where it really isn't obvious whether or not a rule has been broken.

My bad.
I was thinking about Guadalajara (and not riding there) but the crash of Toro apparently crashed my brain.

Rewatched the final km, how did the organisers not put in the 1km rule at the very least? Cobbled uphill sprint after a flat stage, bizarre.
