I think its going to be a breakaways day, no one wants to chase this one and i cant really see any attacks from people that matter either frankly, you would have to hope that roche or a Caisse D'epargne goes for it from the peleton but realistically that isnt gona happen

That could definitely happen... they have soooo many GT threats they could easily assigne one or two to attack. What would be smart though would be to not attack and then in a couple of days on one of the big mountain finishes, pull off 4-5 attacks in the row. The 2-3 attacks they tried on some earlier "mountain" stages didn't really accomplish much for them.

Agreed, but I think their attacks so far have been going for the stage wins. It should be interesting if they try to do something a bit more ambitious like we saw in the Tour.

Big break for me. Maybe Pozzatto, Hushovd etc get themselves in it? Could be a day for Millar, van de velde or Zabriskie.

What odds that Euskaltel will try and give up the jersey to some random in the break and take the pressure off them? Man for man, they're not as strong as Katusha.

Definitely possible as they may get it back tomorrow anyway.

They would have let Peraud take it last Sunday if they wanted to get rid of it to relieve the pressure.

Speculation is fun, so I'm going to say it: huge fight with Riis over the whole Team Luxembourg thing and Andy and Stuart pull a Cartman?

Andy's season is always a month long. 1 week in April and 3 weeks in July. To expect anything else would be too much.

Um, he was riding better the last few days and was aiming for the stage win after the rest day.

The Saxo boys are also known to like a bit of a drink during this race that none of them care about.

Can't wait untill the stage is done and Bjarne will say something about why he threw them out of the Vuelta... Gonna be really interesting...
All I know, at the moment, is that Bjarne has denied that it has anything to do with doping, which had not crossed my mind anyway...

Getting closer to the first sprint of the day and the bunch is still together. Homeboy J-Rod to take red? Unless the sprint is cancelled of course...

1st sprint of the day went Cav, Farrar, J-Rod, so we have a new leader of the Vuelta!

Looks like he finished 3rd and took the overall lead.
