Are you the guy who claimed Voeckler was mediocre and mediocre riders should get out last night?
No. I'm actually the guy that predicted Voeckler would win last night.

Oops, you blundered!
Now go recheck your memory. Thanks.
Go re-read that thread from page, 20 or so.

Man am I annoyed by people who can't even remember a thing that happened last night.
Are you permanently drunk hrotha? Reminds me of the voeckler-troll you were talking about that was here last night, he sure looked drunk

I would only have blundered if I actually believed you were the same guy. What I'm saying is you're making no sense.

Could you at least try to keep some measure of dignity? Thanks.

And I get annoyed by people whose first port of call is to accuse other posters of being drunk, being an immature kid, and what's-all, the moment someone states something vaguely contrary to what ever mission people are on. Or shows mild annoyance or bemusement by confrontational posters and gets a tiny titbit wrong.

"You must be permanently drunk" seems to be the first word to come out here these days, instead of, "I think you got that wrong". Just because it is the faceless internet doesn't mean you have to behave like it is. A bit of respect for folk around here, and base civility, wouldn't be amiss.

DekkerT, it's not just you, but you are certainly one of the ones who is making a lot of the recent threads very antagonistic over next to nothing, with over the top grandstanding and the cheapest of insults.

I'm almost starting to wish that we were back in July, as the tone and breast-thumping of the most prolific regulars here is getting more annoying than anything the July crowd throws around here. I often hear folk say they wished that period was over, but if it was to make room for this sort of "mature discussion", ...why?

Lately, I'm not sure if they are actually such an obstacle for more interesting engagement. If this is Nirvana... keep it.

I'll probably stop posting for a bit, as the Vuelta threads should be sooo much better than the Tour ones, since it's just us and we know so much more and treat each other so much better. But they aren't.

Nor is the tone in several of the other front page threads.

I hate moderation, as I always think we are too mature to be treated like kids. Thus we don't really need it. And I am all for a frank discussion.

Instead we constantly show that we are incapable to self-moderate and stick to a discussion of cycling only. I'm fed up with the post-stage bar-brawls. I'm so fed up with it that I keep making post like this. But I'd rather be the boring one who appeals to something saner, than sit through yet another tiff between people who should know better.

And annoyingly, it's almost without exception people who have great things to say about cycling, but keep hiding it in unreadable exchanges.

I hate moderation, I'd rather address people themselves. Been doing that a bit too much over the last few days for my own liking. Do with this post what you want.

The personal insults here are becoming a dime a dozen. I'd hoped to share the Vuelta with cycling enthusiasts. There is little mutual enjoyment here on show, for me at least.

Thanks to those that tend to stay out of it and post with a greater sign of appreciation of all other reasonable posters here, whatever weird hang-up they have, or you share with me.

Either way, enjoy the rest of the Vuelta. I think I will stick to the TV only for a bit.

Sorry, we are a bit disturbed that the Vuelta organisers unfairly excluded the mighty ones on Johanns' team from the vuelta. Please except my personal apology. Flicker, the one and only fan of Lance.

I don't behave differently on the internet than I do in real life.
But in real life, I never have to call people drunk, since nobody reacts like some people do here.
You know, the ignorant people who post the most bullsh.t, never come up with any decent arguments, disregard every fact you post and keep going around in circles. Those people.
And yes, that annoys me.

I'm surprised you don't get punched in the face in real life then. I know it's not really my place to say since i'm nothing more than a long time lurker who has recently registered, but you're a _________.

I'd rather read someone's post who perhaps is a little ignorant than your uppity I cannot be wrong ones. And even when you are wrong you just curve your opinions refusing to admit you mistake.

Well that was a little bit ghey that Anton crashed out like that, Euskaltel were looking very strong in protecting their leader. Just don't let, CVV, Frank Schleck, Soler, and Anton rider together in the one team

Sure there were a few grazes, but didnt look like anything was broken. Would have been awesome to se Anton riding to the finish covered in blood.

I was so sad to see Anton crash and leave the race. I was hoping like hell that he would win over all.

Now I am not sure who I am going to cheer for the win.

It was terribly sad:( I could see Basque supporters along the rest of the route looking for their guys at the front and they just weren't there. I wonder if he'll save that shredded and bloody leader's jersey? I'm going to transfer my small-team Spaniard support to Mosquera and hope that one of the remaining Euskaltel - Euskadi riders can maybe do something in a break one day.

true.that was pretty depressing for me too as i expected anton to be the winner of this year's vuelta.now all my hopes are on mosquera shoulders.

:D Txurruka's my favourite! He has the best name in the peloton and he always rides with joy:) Both times he broke his collarbone this year were horrible.
