Terpstra away by himself. Maybe everyone else is waiting for the climbs to increase their chances of getting away?

I think so. LLS and Arroyo are both great descenders so I expect fireworks in Portillo de Lunada and the following descent.

The most Caisse gains by putting Arroyo in the break is another chance at having another rider in the top 10

Remember when Astana put Vino in the break on the Jallabert stage whjich purito won. It wasnt from the start but from about 80k in but for the next 100+ k Saxobank killed themselves. Eventually Rabobank and others took over :( but Saxo were dead. Had Astaba the balls to try it the next day they might just have craked saxo. It worked because Vino was close on the gc and had Saxo let it go, Vino would have won the tour. They had to fight it.

Caisse dont just have one rider in the top 10. They have 3, and 2 more within range. THat means any break with one of these Caisse riders can not be let go, for if it is, that rider becomes a danger if not a favourite.

Millar and Zabriskie take advantage of everyone else riding quietly and theyve headed off in pursuit of Terpstra. Interesting.
Danielson to destroy the field in the 2nd category climbs and bridge to his mates who will carry him flying over the roads to Peña Cabarga.

Wow! (BTW, some great research work there, thanks. :)) Well, then I'll have to change my mind and stop betting on him to win mountain stages, cause apparently he will continue to ride them at his own pace and be happy to stay in contention (i.e. - not lose more than a few seconds here and there) and keep his Top3 standing before the ITT, where he will try and defend it.

Yet, if he reaches a MTF in a group of 4 or 5 GC contenders, do you think he is a good enough sprinter to beat them (and if so - which of them?)?

After his impressive victory in Romandie I think Anton is the strongest finisher of the climbers. I also doubt anyone is strong enough to drop him without cooperation, or if he has a really bad day.
