But the stage didn't create the gaps Heras and co did in the past.

12 guys within 2 minutes. Pretty much what I expected. Not the monster gaps of the past. Bigger than normal, but not huge. If there was no super Cobo the gaps would even be ridicolously small

If you're gonna take Cobo out then take Heras and Contador out... the gaps were smaller than other years, true, and riders look to be very even in this Vuelta, but this climb has still created more gaps than any other MTF, in fact at least twice as many as all MTFs except for yesterday.

And let's not forget this was the shortest stage of all 5 Angliru stages, and the one with less climbs.

After looking at the stage profiles, i think Sky would have a better chance to do something on stage 18 than on Peña Cabarga the day before. Peña Cabarga doesn't siut them at all, i can't see how could they distance Cobo there or outsprint the like of Purito for bonus seconds. On stage 18 at least it's rolling up and down all day long. I don't think they can succeed there but they could do some kind of kamikaze attack maybe. Don't know.

congrats to cobo..

impressing ride.

and bad ride from fuglsang and chris anker sørensen, you are a f-ucking captain for Saxo .

thats is not good enough guys..:(

either you win or you loose.
Fuglsang actually didn't do bad. He finished a few seconds behind Nibali. He is simply not enough of a climber to do better

They can do the 1-2, Wiggins to go first and force Cobo/Menchov to chase him down before he gets much time, then Froome, the climb is long enough for that.

But obviously it's not as simple as that, Wiggins should have the climb/attack of his life to force Cobo to chase hard.

Very hard for Froome to win this but it's possible. Needs all the help Wiggins can give.

Wiggins is not able to do that. Duarte/Menchov and the others will chase him down without problems.

Yeah I know that. Just that I didn't notice him at all in the Vuelta. ;)

Great race from him.

Great riders Leopard have got, almost all of them can lead the team in most races, but they still win ****-all. :D

Yeah, that's why it's very hard. If Froome had got someone like Purito in place of Wiggins, then....

2/7 for Cobo to hang on to the overall with two Sky Guys within a Minute .. Skinny Odds...

No big mountain finish is very bad for Sky. And Cobo was the strongest in the mountains so far anyway, so... I'd say that odds is pretty big actually, should be more like 1/10.

And not to mention that Sky will have to chase back the break before the mountain. Because sure as hell Geox will just control the break but they'll let them get the bonus seconds if it's up to them.

Apart from Wiggins and Froome the rest of Sky has done ****-all work anyways, it should not be a big problem, look at how quickly Vacan pulled the break back today, they just need the intention.

Try to forget contador, just for a moment.;)

And read my lips. "contador is contador"

as easy as that !!

Chris Anker Sørensen is a very sympatic guy, but keep comming short on the steep climbs.

And has done it for years and also in the 2011 tour.

As easy as that ;)
