As much as he's worked for it I'd love to see Ryder get a win soon...

Of course you do. You're norwegian :D

On a more serious note, he deserves one by now. But today he didn't deserve it. Another day he might get his chance, I guess.

No surprise that Vino has the least self control of anybody in the peloton. He just had to jump too early and lead out the sprint. They are lucky all his early messing around starting at 5-6km to go didn't allow the guys behind to come back.

For a moment, just before th 1K it seemed as if Hesjedal had opened enough of a gap to stay away. Fuglsang and Vino didn't look to keen on getting him back, but then he sat up, waiting for them to come back...

And then in the sprint, he managed to get in second...

I'll take that as a compliment...but I'm just married to one :D

Oh, sorry. It's that your location says Norway and Hesjedal is half-norwegian. And since I'm used to norwegians being nationalistic with their "ZOMG HAGEN >>> MERCKX!!!" posts....well, you get the idea :p

In hindsight, what does this make of the TdF decision?

They had a successful tour with Haussler and Thor. Gerro naturally a bit ****ed off but probably wouldn't have added to their results (looking back).

Wins a stage at the Vuelta, team and rider happy... the TdF lay-off was necessary to ensure better performance at Vuelta and possibly Worlds?

No worries.

I guess you fell victim to your own quote in your location! :D

EbH is pretty special though...
