Pretty much. A few riders have been dropped since they started but still a solid break at teh front with nobody attacking it

Both the break and the "peloton" is strung out single file, both group are roughly the same size.

Sunweb and Movistar mainly pulling in the break, Astana mainly pulling in the peloton.

The problem with the Movi tactic is that Visma guys do 40k of less work whereas half of Movistar has been working in the front

It's more or less Sanchez and a Bora guy I cannot see who is, doing all the work in the peloton...... everyone else seems to be out of gas.

If he has a puncture, he will lose the Vuelta today. Its definitely worth the risk. They also would have hoped Astana would be slimmed more down, unfortunately it didn't happen. The interesting thing is Astana basically helping Roglic saving this Vuelta. Why not try to play poker?

It is worth to risk it. Quintana most likely fade in the remaining stages but will make the Slovenians work for it.

Movistar pushing the pace doesn't increase the chances of Rog having a puncture. It just eats away the advantage Quintana would have other the rest of the GC guys.

I think the tactics was worth a try but when they saw Astana still had 3 doms + 1 dropping back from the break they should have stopped.
