I think they'll need at least 3:30 min. before the last 10km.
I think they need a lot more.

This is the kind of break where riders run out of gas completely, and they sprint to the bottom will probably eat minutes out of the lead already.

I'd worry if the break had more than 15 minutes now.

Does anybody know if there is still gravel on the climb? It is only partially on street view but some of the lower part is unsurfaced on the images (which are from 2008). Also the satellite images suggest tarmac only in the upper part of the climb. When you track the climb on komoot it gives you 46 % loose surface of the 12 km from the junction in Arcos de las Salinas. Haven't seen it mentioned anywhere, so perhaps resurfaced?

Top secret Chaves: " I can't tell you, 'cause you'll tell other sport directors."

No, they've turned it in a smooth road recently . We won't be seeing a lot of flats

Gaviria pulling the peloton. Good to see, I have been thinking he has been acting a bit like a diva recently.

UAE at the front of the peloton. This is a surprise. I was waiting for Astana or Movistar to hit the front.

Curious to see two riders from the same team, Madrazo with rim brakes and Bol with disc brakes.
