Basically he is Valverde from earlier this decade, except with a better TT and a more dominant team? Sounds like the perfect mix for an exciting race.Same here. Roglic must be the most boring GT winner of the current generation. Follow the train, attack final 400m for boniseconds, rinse, repeat, wait for ITT.
Roglic won the Vuelta thanks to boniseconds. Take all boni's away and even the ITT couldn't save him.
Why is Mas helping????
Meanwhile, their 8th climbing domestique single handedly winning the Giro for their 6th best GC rider who never even has to attack was a joy to watch.I have no clue what this means, man. Ineos have done no suffocating this year, OTOH Jumbo have made two of the three GTs a chore to watch.
Yeah, not in final km though. But Roglic clearly got help from several riders.don't forget also Hofstede helping
Roglic is the winner, Carapaz is the fastest.and how do you get bonuses ?
I think the thinking here is that because Roglič as leader hasn't been as unstoppably strong as 2009 Contador or 2013 Froome, Jumbo have used the same choo-choo tactic, but instead of using it to ride a killer tempo and drop everybody from their wake to set up their leader attacking, like Sky traditionally did, Jumbo have set up this strange system whereby they strangle the race with defence, because they ride at the tempo of the third strongest rider (usually Bennett or Dumoulin) and never use their penultimate man (Kuss), meaning that as they hold a numerical advantage it dissuades attacking, but the pace usually only drops people down to a group of around 20, who then ride in formation all the way up the climb like we saw on La Farrapona and Grand-Colombier. Which is in fact even more dull than Sky's race strangling because at least with Sky's pacesetting you could put the camera on the back and see people like Adam Yates and Louis Meintjes trying to hang on, whereas on Grand-Colombier everybody was happy to just keep tapping out tempo with Dumoulin's pace, because with Quintana suffering from his allergy problem after the nettle patch incident and Bernal having a pajará, everybody was happy with the status quo and there was nothing to actually look at.I have no clue what this means, man. Team orders from Unzue directly, and for the money of course..Lol at the little fist bump from Roglic to Mas after the line! I would be interested to know exactly why Mas rode like that
Yeah, not in final km though. But Roglic clearly got help from several riders.
His interviews alone are bad enough to hope he never wins again. And Roglic: There's nothing bad about him, he's really likable, but then he's also not at all exciting as a rider or person and just shows so little of his feelings that it's hard for me to warm to him.
It's 100% a situation where Contador or Nibali would just attack balls deep themselves to find out how good Jumbo really is. If they're dissuaded by Bennet or Kuss that's on them lol.I think the thinking here is that because Roglič as leader hasn't been as unstoppably strong as 2009 Contador or 2013 Froome, Jumbo have used the same choo-choo tactic, but instead of using it to ride a killer tempo and drop everybody from their wake to set up their leader attacking, like Sky traditionally did, Jumbo have set up this strange system whereby they strangle the race with defence, because they ride at the tempo of the third strongest rider (usually Bennett or Dumoulin) and never use their penultimate man (Kuss), meaning that as they hold a numerical advantage it dissuades attacking, but the pace usually only drops people down to a group of around 20, who then ride in formation all the way up the climb like we saw on La Farrapona and Grand-Colombier. If he's the fastest he should've beaten Rogl in a few sprints smh.Roglic is the winner, Carapaz is the fastest.
So why didn't Carapaz and Carthy took some...Roglic won the Vuelta thanks to boniseconds. Take all boni's away and even the ITT couldn't save him.
yeah, behind himRoglic was with Mas and Soler.
Yeah, Kelderman or Hindley winning would have been much more exciting?Meanwhile, their 8th climbing domestique single handedly winning the Giro for their 6th best GC rider who never even has to attack was a joy to watch.
Those were definitely two exhilarating kilometers. The exception proves the rule.I'm sure Pogacar just dropped himself on Col de La Loze.
You need to watch less cycling and more Sesame Street to learn what it means fast and slow.just no
