Seems the weather's really affecting the riders.
This kind of breakaway should've been safe for the stage a long time ago in different conditions.

Gorka on the attack it seems trying to make sure he gets something back out of the day

Ineos crushing the descent

What's the latest??? Is the break getting caught or not really today?

3'40 with 30k to go.

It's Gorka (apparently - hard to tell in rain gear) attacking out the front on his own now though with a chasing group 40s behind him

Ineos hammered it on the descent which was interesting, but it looks like Movistar closed them as JV weren't ready.

Could see it stick for Gorka but depends how hard the peloton hit it from here

I'd say Break takes it but Peleton to limit losses to about 2 mins. Not sure Jumbo, Ineos, ISN or Movistar drill it too hard on Formigal

JV didn't let any GC threat get away at the Tour.
Cattaneo and Henao are around 4 minutes behind.

Gorka 3'30 and Martin 8 or so as well. Not that I'd see them as threats to JV but I doubt they are keen to let more riders get back onto similar times

Split in the peloton. Roglic behind.

oooh, so did Ineos attack work on the descent after all?

Roglič had to chase alone. What happened there?

Not really clear.

We know Ineos attacked the descent but we don't know what caused Roglic to drop off the back, whether it was Ineos and he was dangling for a while, or whether it was just a mechanical later which Movistar pushed on for.

Kuss still not come back? That will hurt for the rest of the race as it takes JV’s wildcard out of contention if that’s the case.
