Kuss looking effortless as always, with Mas dying in the front

Carapaz will need Sosa to come good in a couple mountain stages. Ineos is looking more and more like a liability at this point.

Jumbo was much better today. And Movistar will probably keep attacking from afar making stages very hard to control.

I thought finishing s.t. today would be a win for Roglic. Getting Roglstomped is disastrous for Carapaz

Not sure why Carapaz attacked Roglic there ? Has he not been watching racing recently ?
Ineos are not very strong so tta is an issue for Carapaz
But he needs to put it to Roglic further out as 9 out of 10 times Roglic wins in the last 1km
This is so true he should've blown it up as early as possible and made it mano o mano straight away. Not doing doing this also led to him doing the bulk of the work chasing people down

Yeah, misjudged himself it seems.

One of those cases where if he'd sat on Roglic may not have kicked for a bit longer, but i'm never going to criticise a rider for trying to attack
Yeah, he probably realized that he was going to loose the sprint because Roglic has the better acceleration, so he went earlier.

Very cool stage, really enjoyed it despite the uninspiring winner. I'm glad Vlasov was up there with the best.

I think you can hardly blame Movistar for what happened. If Mas thinks he has the legs, they can't really tell him to fck off and not ride for him. They did a great job as a team, it's a pity their leader is not good enough. But anyway, they're leading the teams classification so who cares?

By the way, what happened to the legendary climber that Ivan Ramiro Sosa was supposed to be?

Dan Martin did a fab ride ...especially for all the 'experts' on here who say he cant climb

The same group at the beginning of every race write him off

in other business

If Kirby says tucked in, meerkating or 1,2,3 Vlasov one more time !!!!!!...aaaahhhhh!!!!!!!!

Yes Dan Martin went all in today, he collapsed at the finish line. Very impressive ride

Very rough day for Grossschartner after the good start.

Poels starting to come very good though and could still be outside bet at a top 5 if he maintains this trajectory. Vlasov surely heading towards the top 10 if his form curve continues too. They'll both be very disappointed about their first week.

The supposed plan to claim some time back for Bennett yesterday looking even more bizarre today.

Martin's nefarious journey back towards 11th continues.

I thought the same before the stage. But I don't think it's disastrous for Carapaz. He looked strong and there are still opportunities to gain time on Rogla if he doesn't feel great.
