Roglic winning on finishes like this one is literally the most predictable thing ever, can't get excited about it.
At least the racing was good
He hadn't really dropped the rest yet, and after Formigal I'd say there were some question marks.

But this is probably his best stage win IMO

Most uncomfortable he's looked since that TT helmet

I think part of it is the glasses. He didn't wear them here and you can really see the pain and effort in his eyes.

From a team perspective, good for Jumbo to not have red for the next two stages. Don't need to ride at all now on these flat stages

It’s hardly going to matter, Bora and Quickstep have sprint support squads with them and aren’t going to allow the few potential sprints to end any other way.

Yeah, misjudged himself it seems.

One of those cases where if he'd sat on Roglic may not have kicked for a bit longer, but i'm never going to criticise a rider for trying to attack
Not really. I think the main mistake was trying to bring back Roglic, which probalby cost some seconds, but it's not like he was caught for 2nd or 3rd and dropped by a bunch of other guys.

Unless gaps are small after the time trial on Tuesday, I'd say whoever is in the lead at that point likely has it wrapped up. Only real stage after that is on the Saturday

Roglic now the favourite. Five men still in the running in the sense that they can win without a major reversal of fortunes. Mas just about still one of them because he can TT and has good three week endurance but the time losses are starting to add up for him.

Fun finish today, I'd have Roglic as slight favourite over Carapaz after that, both looking strong though.

Nice to see D Martin going so well too, I thought his GC days were long gone. He'll have a better team to support him next year too.
