Jakobsen definitely good enough to take that win at some point. Philipsen winning after all the close calls at the Tour is also nice, though.

Cavendish confirmed for the 2022 Tour
Honestly he has far better odds at winning a stage in the first week of the Tour.

Sucks for Jakobsen but there is more stages to race! Good win for Philipsen after Tour disappointment.

My god, German commentary so bad from start to finish... starting with "DQS riders are done" (because Vansevenant is riding like he always does) to "Philipsen disappointed he didn't win" when the camera was on him all the time after the finish.

I think we will see more of those a bit chaotic sprints. No team really has a strong enough sprint train here to control the last 2km.

Just tuned in.
Normally I'm careful about using the word, im fact this is the first time: Borefest.
For the early starters amongst the viewers I certainly hope there's been more excitement than this
This is why I'm happy that I timed it to only catch the last 7 km.

Was that Superman caught behind by the crash outside of 3 KM. I thought I saw Mas come in with the Bernal and Vlasov at the back of the sprint. Couldn’t see Lopez though.

EDIT: it was Valverde. Both Mas and Lopez finished in front

Jakobsen lost probably because he went for the intermediate sprint. But good win for Philipsen

Tbf, give him Morkov and he wins today so since Philipsen was the next best at the Tour anyway, that means he'd have won at the Tour

Lopez is down as finishing 25th on PCS anyway

Can't they just extend their 3km rule for stuff like this. This is so incredibly dumb time loss for the riders behind that crash.

It seems he does! Some consolation for sitting in the Hot Seat all afternoon yesterday :).

Aah, from what I understood, there are so many points on offer on the line, that the guy who won would (almost) certainly get green.
And according to PCS is is indeed Philipsen who takes it.
