Scary stuff.

And because this is Primoz Roglic, no surprise the replay showed it happened almost in front of him & he had to swerve. The man is a magnet for unlikely disaster scenarios & has zero regard for the health of his fans.
As long as Thomas and Porte don't ride near Roglic the rest of the peloton should survive..............I can't even explain half of the crashes that Thomas has.............the Vuelta doctor should be less busy with those two not riding although Porte has had a little more luck the past two seasons.

Can you post a video? Danish TV goes straight to the post-race studio.

Maybe it's some kind of prank... seeing how confused the riders get.

I can't find one....but it's happened 2 days in a row now so I guess it's their plan this Vuelta. Hand the stage winner an empty champagne bottle. Yesterday Roglic looked into it in disbelief. Today it wasn't a surprise :)

It's a way to promote sustainability.

First the organizers drink the champagne with a good jamón and then they give the empty bottle another use.

Well I would've given Denmark to Leinauer instead, so Migels would've been available for the Vuelta from Saturday on. He's their no. 1 commentator after all.

Even yesterday it shouldn't have been a problem, what with the Vuelta stage being in the evening.

I'm not a fan of Migels either, but yeah, he's better... ehm... as far as I can tell... but this comes from someone who didn't recognize Sean Kelly, so...

I personally don't like it when one commentator is far better than the rest...

:D Lol.

But don't worry, it's not like one of them is truely amazing... Usually I find them a bit annoying, but that will probably always be the case when you listen for hours on many days to people you are not close friends with. But apart from Voigt they usually aren't clueless. Today sounded quite collectively bad, though, well the last 25k that I watched.

I'm thinking there's also some sort of "paranormal phenomenon" going on as well, i.e. just look at this bike rolling across the road which almost clipped his rear wheel when he swerved past the crash:

It looks like the bike itself was aiming for Roglic. Pas normal.

Maybe they didn't get the memo about the rule-change in the point-competition.

It can happen. During the Olympics,

Must be one of the INEOS riders' bikes.

There was a comment from Roglic after stage 1 of the Tour & the Opi Omi crash where he said it's always "good luck" to crash on the first stage.

Evidently considering what followed, it wasn't. So in this instance, I'd say it's real good luck to avoid a crash right in front of him & a wayward bike headed for his rear wheel.

I have to admit that paired with Leclercq I rated Migels as quite amazing. Germany isn't a traditional cycling country after all. So having someone with his knowledge around as German voice of cycling for the last 20 years is a positive thing for me.

Migels needs a good sidekick though. If he's basically a one man show his quality drastically declines. He needs someone to challenge him IMHO.

Philipsen is one of the best looking guys in the WT.

Well his butt is exceptionally perky, given any hills he will fit right into the scenery if he camouflages properly.

:openmouth:
I was looking at his face!

I don't want to gatecrash awkward girl talk here, but from a guy's perspective I can tell you Jasper Philipsen actually looks like Elon Musk on a bike.

Look again. Closely. The resemblance is eerie.

Hm, I'm not such a fan... but he's a good moderator, I will agree with that. :)
