yeah, he donates 1 Euro or so for every rider he beats per stage. This really seems to have motivated him a lotMader got a bit stronger...

I believe they have 4 moto cameras and his group was so far back at the time that all of them were already ahead.Honestly, I know I'm just a nosy soap-lover, but why does TV not show that?
Bernal didn’t sacrifice anything. He just didn’t have the legs.Yates needed to attack at about 6k out and try to get on that podium! I mean, I didn't watch that part, but didn't Bernal practically sacrifice his own placing for that possibility?
Drinking away his sorrows in a bar that happened to be along the route?

The only big mistake I saw is Yates not continuing with the attack when he dropped Haig. For a GC podium spot that is.Yates not trying to get the podium, Mas and Roglic's completely disinterest in a stage win etc etc.
I dont understand how these favourites race sometimes
“Why do Grand Tours even have 20 stages? They should just end at 19. Barkeep, another one and keep them coming. I have nowhere to be tomorrow.”Drinking away his sorrows in a bar that happened to be along the route?
Of course he did sacrifice that, his attack helped opening the gap when Yates attacked and once the gap was there he had to stay behind Lopez. That doesn't mean Yates ownes him anything but you can't tell me he does that 1-2 with Bernal 40k out to "only" challenge for the stage. Surely this was about GC and so it's weird to not try to push on when he had the gap to Haig.Bernal didn’t sacrifice anything. He just didn’t have the legs.
Yeah Roglic and Haig were fine. Roglic has the jersey and has won enough, he even did slight pulling because he was probably bored but why should he close the gaps - the look he gave them said it all haha. Haig just wants the podium and is happy to hang in. But for Mas and Yates to play poker with Roglic, yikes. Yates even confirmed in the interview that he was going for the stage instead of just dropping Haig - I mean, what can you say...
I agree. And, Yates also ran out of steep road. Even if he "dropped" Roglic, he could only do it on the 15%+ gradients and ran out of road.
View: https://twitter.com/TourDeJose/status/1434180076459937793?s=20I don't get that. There's footage of him getting into the team car. Did he rob the team car or something
Bernal was struggling to hold the wheels on the first attacks. I would consider it a sacrifice had he followed the attacks then set the pace for his teammate but he couldn’t do that today. That doesn’t take anything away from him it’s just that he wasn’t going to go anywhere on GC anyway today.Of course he did sacrifice that, his attack helped opening the gap when Yates attacked and once the gap was there he had to stay behind Lopez. Super no mas..............Supermán is the greatest, he's like Mikel Landa, Thibaut Pinot and Rohan Dennis rolled into one.
Bernal had already announced he was spent. Pretty much riding to try to set Yates up for a stage win today.Bernal was closer to 4th than Yates. Now they’re 4th, 6th, and no jersey when they could have been 3rd, 5th, and jersey.
