It was less entertaining from him this time. Just had the one break I think rather and didn't have much random attacks on the climbs either off him.

Yeah, (well, didn't watch the first week) but this race was quite boring from almost everyone, maybe due to the route, maybe due to the riders. I can't find many riders who really did something in this race, apart from Roglic, Bernal, Cort and Storer. Roglic, Cort and Storer got rewarded well.

Guess it was a good thing Roglic didn't sit up in the end, celebrating his GC win.

Or a bad thing... depending on your PoV.

Luckily no one pushed Roglič off his bike like what happened to Xabier Mikel Azparren's father, Mikel, when he rode the Camino in less than 24 hours in 2018.

Lopez did a few things.

But in the end only Roglic and Mas looked like Tier 1 GC riders, and Mas rode the same way he always does. But a lot of disappointing performances and some untimely crashes, and you've got the 10th rider at 20 minutes down.

I think Roglič, having now won his third straight Vuelta, really needs to go for it at the Tour next year. I know he was shocked last year by a flying Pogačar and this year by a crash, but he will still be among the big favorites at the Tour for the next couple years. He has to take a tour title, time isn't on his side, despite still being relatively young in terms of when he turned to competitive cycling.

"And we're waiting for the national anthem of Slovenia, which we're getting now... no..."

Or maybe... on a bagpipe!

This is the podium ceremony that keeps on giving.

And tiny Roglic has a flag!

Congrats to Primoz on the stage victory and 3rd consecutive Vuelta victory! The new Rominger confirmed. This was his most convincing GT victory: over 4.5 minutes gap and 4 stage wins. The way he stomped Mas at the end was pretty epic. At one point he almost went a wrong road (well, it would be epic, wouldn't it? :tearsofjoy:)

"I am a sprinter. I practiced (can't hear) with Rohan Dennis"

Roglič on why he can sprint

I hope people got the joke, i.e. he was referencing the world championship TT in 2019 where Rohan Dennis won & passed Roglic on the line (despite the fact Roglic had started 3 minutes prior).

There's a photo of Dennis raising his arms as he crosses the line & a dejected Roglic is right next to him.
