At least in the Giro and Tour, these stages have some nice looking scenery. This doesn't even give us that
Few castles earlier weren't bad.
The geopark just a moment ago was fine, too.

Not as rich in scenery as Italy or France, but enough to get you to look for more information.

It's August in Spain, very arid except in the north.

Ya, at least they're north enough that there's a bit of green at times. The long flat stages that they've done on the southern part of Spain before were even worse.

I see some trees on the right side of the road with 5km to go, so it's not all bad.

Is anyone else waiting rather nervously to see how the riders will negotiate that traffic island mentioned upthread at 1.1km to go?

Lovely day for Fabio and cycling in general!

Philipsen's sprint a bit messed up by that late acceleration of his own teammate. Got boxed in and couldn't recover.

Always boggles me how the commentators can call it wrong. Kirby was like it's between Demare and Cort as Jakobsen was clearly moving way faster than everyone.
