At least in the Giro and Tour, these stages have some nice looking scenery. This doesn't even give us that

Great point. Honestly that's a big part of why this race has never grabbed my interest like the others. Time in the calendar also, other sports I watch are starting up, but I can't just stare at the beauty for hours with this race like I can with the others.

They had some spectacular geology today but I get your point. Lots of cooked desert this time of year, though.
