Caruso has gained over a minute on the Bardet group since the top of Luisa? GPS? I can see that the peloton has slowed with Jumbo on the front but not sure why the chasing trio would lose that much time?

Bouchard made it across to G2 and when he attacked the group that he was in was about the same distance behind the leader as G2 is now

Ineos wanted to push the pace as hard as they could on Venta Luisa without using Carapaz, but given that J-V was still intact afterwards, they are now saving Sivakov and Van Baarle for the first part of Velefique. I think it makes good sense.

And J-V was always going to soft pedal when no one else wanted to take the front, so the best we could hope for was Movistar taking over after Ineos to have the stage win in play.

Very hard to see the stage win in play

But then Contador picked Caruso for the stage win so it probably cant happen

Is there a steak for pundit enhancement?
Must've crossed them with a long-term contract.

Riders must be very tired or bothered by the heat because today was a big miss opportunity for Movistar or Ineos. They can send someone ahead. JV could have been exposed. But easier said than done.

I heard yesterday in a podcast that was stupid or crazy to put La Vuelta in August. La Peninsula is very hot place in August.

The race hasn't really had any of the extreme heat, luckily enough.

Though the Giro was enough, but it seems Bahrain looks for another redemption.
The gulf's obviously having the biggest interest in the WT.

Just tuned in with about 10km to go, am furiously trying to catch up with all the action...

The scenery looks like it's about rife for a wildfire. Does it get greener in those parts during other seasons?
