On the balance, it's better to have López closer to Rogla and further from Bernal, than to have Mas gain more time on Haig and Yates. That is, they want to put as much time on Bernal as possible, while still having two cards to play against Rogla.

That was the difficulty for Roglic today: multiple attacks by rivals & choosing which wheel to follow.
On this climb with the lower gradients at the top, working with Mas was the wise choice & now he's pretty much down to one main rival. Not bad after a week's racing.

Huh? Haig is 3 years younger than Nairo but he does not have even 1 top 10 in GT. At his age Nairo had 6 podiums in GT.
