Ah, don't say that because some clown (moi) pushes back. Weigh in all you want!I just meant that young people who are successful often dream of bigger things. He's definitely been successful at a young age so he can be forgiven for dreaming of bigger and better things like GC championships. I wasn't critiquing him at all.
With that said, I am very neutral on Remco and I know most people aren't so I probably shouldn't have weighed in on him. My typo didn't help!
Has there been a miracle? EF announced their roster already?
What do you mean? Isn't this the exact same day they always announce it, the day of the team presentation?
It’s today.Pretty sure the team presentation is tomorrow.
It’s today.
Edit: Never Mind, it’s tomorrow
Oh my god, you actually thought i was being serious?Except that Roglic is considered a favorite. And that clearly bothers you.
When Valverde won his first Vuelta stage, Ayuso wasn't even a year old.
Because it's been going for 15 days now? This thread feels much bigger than the Tour and Giro pre race threads
I wonder why.
On the day Ayuso was born Valverde was finishing 85th in stage 10 of the 2002 VueltaFun fact:
The youngest rider of the race will be Ayuso. The oldest rider will - surprise, surprise - be Valverde.
When Valverde won his first Vuelta stage, Ayuso wasn't even a year old.
My guess would be Logic personally explaining to every Remco-doubter that they shouldn't doubt himThis thread feels much bigger than the Tour and Giro pre race threads
I wonder why.
Oh thank god you were not.Oh my god, you actually thought i was being serious?
Looks like Simon Yates beat me to the punch though. My guess would be Logic personally explaining to every Remco-doubter that they shouldn't doubt him
I wonder how often the pros read forums. It has to be pretty common. I would like to think our comments are having at least some sort of background effect on the sport.Looks like Simon Yates beat me to the punch though.
Vuelta a España: Simon Yates warns it 'would be silly' to count out Remco Evenepoel
After a knee injury took Yates out of the Giro d'Italia, he returns to the Vuelta for the first time since winning in 2018 with every intention of winning again.www.velonews.com
Here are some quotes:
''I read on the Cyclingnews forum that certain posters are doubting Evenepoel, reacting annoyed when confronted with logic and well founded arguments of certain other posters''. (*)
“You look at his demonstration at San Sebastián it would be silly to discount him,” Yates said Wednesday. “Of course he is still very young. I think everyone is still saying, ‘three weeks, three weeks,’ but at some point in the future he will be one of these grand tour riders over three weeks.”
“This year might not be the year, at some point it’s coming,” Yates said. “So we’ll see if it’s this year or not.”
(*) I may or may not have made up the opening sentence.
Msfp (main stream forum propaganda). Get a hold of yourselves. I blame the RR effect (the Remco Roglic affair). I hope they both stay in contention long enough for the forum hysteria to continue. This thread feels much bigger than the Tour and Giro pre race threads
I wonder why.
Be very careful nowI blame the RR effect
Oh(the Remco Roglic affair).
On the day Ayuso was born Valverde was finishing 85th in stage 10 of the 2002 Vuelta
And Valverde was the child father?
