Yesterday Remco was fighting his instincts to counterattack. I think he will keep fighting his instincts, so i very much doubt he will try a raid. He might pace the climb to avoid attacks or big time gaps or because he is tired of guys jumping in front of him.

Soler is pulling group 2 with about 25 riders in it down the descent. Practically the only rider really bothered in group 2 is Almeida, the rest will have little motivation remaining. This racing is a bit bonkers today!

Honestly these slopes are too gentle, and the aggressive racing of today was caused by the attack of Almeida in the Alto de la Desesperá which is an hard climb, so I disagree

I know. That would indeeed be the voice of reason but damn a raid would be much more fun.

The difference between Almeida and group red is probably a lot smaller. Soler might be 40 seconds ahead, but the last rider isn't. It will be mano a mano on the final climb, so the only thing UAE managed to accomplish is that they eliminated Almeida.
