It's been rubbish riding by Craddock the last few days - When you have 'good legs' then you must be selective in what stages you target - Actually, BEX has been ordinary in this Vuelta outside of their stage win.

Agree 100%. He has certain talents, not least the ability to suffer, but he'll never win anything with random attacks. That's MvdP territory...

So what now? Trek wants to shake off the very fast men. But at the same time being more or less all together in the last 30k means it's open for attacks. And who are going to reel in those? Pedersen has to join them in order to win.

Soler, Carthy or Padun should at least try and bridge if they can with the teammates in the break, Mads is the best non-GC guy in the race but letting him soft pedal over 2x 8k at 6% is a bit criminal from the peloton.

No reason to attack with tomorrows stage looming in the horizon. For as much as I want to see attacks it doesn't really make sense. I hope there is a great race for tomorrow.

I mean, ok, yesterday there was a lot more time before the climbing part, but still having a break of 3 on the stage like today vs 40 plus yesterday is very odd

I still don't get why Pedersen isn't going to Worlds, he has an actual shot at winning it with these legs. Yeah i know it's in Australia but still.

Exactly because of yesterday.
...and 17 previous days.

The profile looks better on paper than in the race.
