I haven't watched a second of this and never will. But I'm glad they at least found a way to make Time Trials moderately interesting to read about.
And no surprise about JV... a GC leader who doesn't have the courage to ride big one day races isn't gonna do well in a stage like this. On to stage 2, please.

To be fair Jonas got a flat. Bad luck for him, but especially Roglic honestly because thats just +20 seconds down the drain for him.

That was a Kool analysis. So reading everything, I guess you also read that he had a puncture?

How people can defend any of this is beyond me.

But but but rain, Remco is spoiled, bla bla bla. Nah man
easpecially because he isn't complaining about the rain itself, just about riding in the dark. And if we compare finishes, JV was the last team that was still recognizable at the finish, and UAE the last team of which they had images on the course.

The finish picture will be great to see...

I understand Remco's frustration, but he didn't crash or have a puncture like Vingegaard so maybe he should tone it down a little and count himself lucky. I don't read any whinging from Roglic?

ps - the delayed start means down under we can comment about a race live at 4.56am rather than the usual time European races finish in Australia (~1:30am) ;)

Thats poor logic IMO. You don't complain only if you have misfortune. You can still complain if something is obviously dangerous even if you don't crash.

You can also argue they could have won today/taken more time whatever on some other teams.

Imagine doing a fast and technical TT on wet roads and NOT BEING ABLE TO PROPERLY SEE. How scary do you think that is as one of the favorites having spend lots of time and resources preparing for the race?

Its simply laughable, and people critisizing Evenepoel should be real ashamed of themselves and try to put themselves in his position!
