I'm still so infuriated by cycling media and "experts" going from "those little sprints at the end don't cost relevant energy" to "Remco/Pogacar/etc are fading at the end of a gt because of all those little digs during the race" every other day.

I think the Vuelta race designers often overdo the number of MTF's a bit. I would rather see a couple of medium mountain stages of the types we saw in the Tour this year like the ones in Basque Country or the one that Izagirre won than another pointless MTF, especially a couple of days before the Queen stages.

LOL at the Guardia civil going completely berserk at the Cofidis soigneur because the soigneur got enthusiastic.

OK they don't want another Arinsal scenario with a collision, but this was a low-speed finish.
His name is Raul Matias and he is portuguese. Aljubarrota's vibes never stop.

Had 5 mins watch breakaway passing Douro dam in beautiful sourroundings, reminding me my Douro Spanish wines in my wine cellar, long gone forgotten...and suddenly on normal work day just had to. Then came back with 15k to go for breakaway. Of what I've watched from heli cam regional tourist teaser views and breakaway tryouts it was a nice stage.
Then occupied by family just when broadcasting skipped to GC peleton.
So think I got the full out of this stage with all the positive POV's.
And in gift an excellent glass of Douro too.
What's not to like? :)
