One of the things we did not want to see again from the Giro was Covid, but some bug is making it's way around the peloton -

""The last 3 days haven't gone so well," TotalEnergies leader Steff Cras, who sits 15th in the general classification heading into stage 11, revealed in a post-stage interview with Sporza. "I've gotten a little sick. I had hoped it would be better after the rest day, but the last 2 nights have been terrible. And my sinuses are bothering me."

"There are some sick people in the peloton. There is a lot of coughing. I don't think it is corona," Cras explains, trying to convince himself as much as anything. "I have certainly tested. Yesterday I was quite feverish. I am now taking antibiotics for 2 days. Hopefully I will recover by the weekend."

Remco's next excuse?

One of the most underrated cyclist ever. Let's not forget that he lost a il lombardia because of evenepol.
Wow, that was a lovely attack and a nice win. He had a teammate in the break, yes?

If I was going to watch the Vuelta live, I would like every experience to be like that clip...only a few minutes required, all action, pretty enough backdrop with lots of green, and really emotional but articulate Italian commentary.

Why did the UCI change the name of the second tier from "Pro Continental" to "ProTeam" btw?

After starting from Ólvega, a small town so uninteresting that Google cannot tell me a single noteworthy thing to say about it, the riders head through the lower parts of the Moncayo massif. As the start is the highest point of the stage at almost 1000 metres, the elevation changes in this zone are mostly downhill, but we do have a small, uncategorised climb to Puerto de Lanzas Agudas.

.
Did not expect this about Ólvega -
From the Road Book - Más de 300 deportistas participan anualmente en la prueba de la Copa de España
de Mushing (carreras con trineos de perros) que se disputa en Ólvega
Google translate gives us -
More than 300 athletes participate annually in the test of the Spanish Cup of Mushing (races with dog sleds) that takes place in Ólvega.

If you like dogs and bikes why not combine them?! From

Not normally something I excel, however quite funny now browsing through various odds pusher sites and their indeed diverse opinions on the outcome of today's stage. Below is though quite bizarre IMO, Kron as 4th favourite even with a highlight mentioning:
Yes, he is fast - but compared to wall climbers, not prime sprinters. Or I have misread something while watching his finishes.

How is someone going to win a bunch sprint who doesn‘t participate in the sprints? LOL

It's not you that misread, it's that site that has misread. For anyone who wants to bet on Kron to win today's stage he is freely available at 150-1 (or double that on a betting exchange)

Hope that there are some echelons but its more likely to be another boring day. Groves for his third win.
