Remco evidently dropped a bundle of time in preparation for a stage win from the break tomorrow so that makes him the big favourite. Other riders who may have a go from the break would be Bardet, Carthy, Martinez, Kamna and Poels. Still have memories of Poels accelerating up the inside of a hairpin riding up Angliru.

Remco doesn't beat the GC riders up Angliru but I think he beats all the other breakaway contenders by just dieseling up the climb. Vingegaard to launch from the GC group and ride himself into red. Mas to be the best of the rest.

There's no marking moves or playing tactics on the upper slopes, they will be going single digits. Roglic has to go early-ish, if he has the facilities for that kind of thing.

Evenepoel, if he's thinking of the future, should stay in the GC group and see how he stacks up, Vingegaard saying he's feeling at his TDF levels after todays stage.
I'm not sure he is actually at that level but if he said that and it's true then it's curtains for everybody else and he could easily take 1-2 minutes on tomorrows stage.

I still have hope for Kuss to remain in red. He should be strong, today he wasn’t allowed to ride until the final k and he’s never the best in that parcours anyway. It should be a free race to show who’s best within JV and have a feeling Roglic will struggle the most, losing time to Ayuso and maybe Mas.

Jonas still probably to perform the best but both his wins have happened when he wasn’t being fully chased. 4 days ago he was arguably less strong than Kuss on Tourmalet despite winning the stage, and today the gaps would’ve been much lower, although he did look the best.

Evenepoel from the break or a Vinge beat down. Ayuso and Mas to finish ahead of Roglic and Almeida, with Kuss and Soler hanging together.

Tomorrow on Angliru:
Grischa: "Keep calm, guys. We just cover other moves. Don't attack first!"
Jonas drops the rest and says: "I can't hear you. The radio is down and powermeter as well - it shows over 7 w/kg."
Rogla to Kuss: "I love you Sepp but the Skeletor won't get away with this again. Cya at the finish!"
Kuss at the finish: "Those traitors will regret attacking the stamina king from Colorado. I'm open to cooperation with Ayuso and Mas during next stages"
Grischa at the finish: "All went perfectly to the plan. The team work at its finest"

It's a shame that vingegaard is not in tour de france shape. I think, it would be curious to see full gas, what time he could do on angliru.
He's not that far off right now. I think he's going to take 2 minutes on the rest of the GC field. Question is if Roglic and Kuss can pace themselves to stay on the podium.

Roglic finally decides to establish the team hierarchy and his TdF bid and attacks on the 20% section. Anything other that.. dissapointing.
