I can't see anyone but Jonas sealing it today. Maybe some breakaway. I am happy to be wrong. Please make me wrong 🤕
No. :p

J/k, but I do think you are right. I have my Monopoly money on Vingo today, but who knows what Rogla and Sepp will do. And then there's Remco - I don't think he will win this stage, but it's definitely interesting to see just how far he will push or adjust his endeavors.

Whatever happens I'm so excited about this stage - hopefully Peacock won't switch to commercial at the most crucial of times!

Who is the King of Denmark?

Based on the pre-Vuelta interviews where Grischa said Roglic is their king I think the Kuss is now Hamlet and Vinge is Claudius... Or is Kuss the King of Denmark and we will see Roglic taking the revenge on Vinge :D...

You don't kill a king in secret. You kill him before everybody so they can watch him die.

Good chance for other riders that are aiming for breakaway win (Bardet, Buitrago etc) to let Remco and the small group dangle at 10-25s for the next 20 km and then try to force a new break either without Remco or with a slightly more tired Remco.

….and they’re caught

If there was ever a stage where energy preservation is essential, it's this one. Unless a break gets a big lead, Evenepoel should save himself a little for what's coming later.

This is another short stage, so you need to be getting up the road in time to build enough of a time gap. From Cordal onwards, the gap will only be going one way, so you need a pretty big one too. In other words, there might not be enough time to let Evenepoel dangle at any point.

24 min from now on GCN
But the first 30 minutes of the transmission will probably be dedicated to wonderful studio banter and interesting views on what happened yesterday.
And interviews.

edit: and countless ad nauseum takes on just how incredibly hard the Angliru is. "Man I am happy I'm not riding anymore, today would've been pure hell" and on and on.

Countdown till coverage commences (this is the second stage of this Vuelta where it feels like it's New Year's Eve) - at Peacock it's another 27 mins.
