JV drilling it so likely GC mano-a-mano type of finish today. And i must say that i would prefer to see that today. Then a stage win from the breakaway.

Jonas body language is so dramatically changed for 2 years it's like two different people.
He had an image of an introverted shy character a few years ago but I don't think this was ever the case at all, it was just an image that was cultivated. He enjoys being the boss and now has the authority of a rider who knows that he is the best GC rider in the peloton.

The gap isn't big enough, especially compared to the effort Cattaneo / Evenepoel are doing right now.

With this kind of effort, Cattaneo will maybe survive the first climb, but Evenepoel will be on his own on Cordal, and while it's terrain where one doesn't profit too much of drafting (either sharp uphill or downhill, no more valleys), it will be very hard to tackle Angliru for Evenepoel with this small advantage. To be comfortable, he needs an extra minute and preferably one he doesn't have to work for.

I wonder how long Germani can hold on - enjoy the ride!

Jumbo don't care about Remco up the road - classic softening up the peloton before a climb or two.
