Remco said he wasn't allowed to go in Sunday's stage with Vingegaard policing him, and treating him as a GC treat on a day where Jumbo weren't going for the stage win (but were obviously going to allow a non-dangerous break on the road).

So that story seems to be true (applying it on Sunday's stage).

What he can't be entitled about and is actually a bit laughable, is bleeding extra time yesterday, and believing this will be a reason JV won't chase him today on the road to Angliru: Ofcourse they will chase him if they want the stage, irregardless of him bleeding extra time or not, because even if he wins the stage, it won't be by much, so that won't make any difference for GC.
💯

The fact that he doesn't seem to fully appreciate that today would be a day Dumbo-Jiz would most definitely would want the win is somewhat, immature or naive? Or perhaps just a bit dense. Might even be knucklehead territory

If Soler wins this stage I'm gonna be in awe. Really shocked if it would happen though :D

Soler is less then 1 minute behind Ayuso on GC, so if "his radio is broken" let's hope he goes for it. :)
Mas is also only 20 seconds ahead of Solar so Movistar will have to be alert.

Well, as said, if Evenepoel thinks it makes any difference for today's stage, he is deluded.
But at the other hand, it seems he has some legs, and as he is on the road now (whether or not Jumbo gave resistance, we can't know as we didn't have TV footage) and he is making it a hard(er) day for Jumbo, if Jumbo is still going for the stage win.
Good for the race I'd say.

Tactically it makes sense to send Soler in front, with the idea that Ayuso closes that gap and he works for him. OR Soler is just being Soler

Well, their riders certainly don't know what they're doing
Exactly. I just assumed that was because of the bosses, because their main goal is GC points always. They've said so and it explains a lot of weird things they do.

Ok i didn't know that.
Kind of lame he is targeting the KOM jersey. In the Vuelta.
That is a 3rd tier rider type of move/goal
Generates more money for his teammates than being 5th in GC though. He might do it for that reason. He also likes to collect jerseys.

But I agree, I would've preferred seeing him go for GC, than KOM, but after Tourmalet I think the only logical decision was to go for stages and this jersey.
