Evenepol will be in the break breaking the legs of Caruso and Bardet
While back at the ranch Landa, Ayuso and Mas will be racing each other while the 3 Musketeers do cycling loops around each other out in front of the Spanish trip
But who knows what happens...The stage does not suit Kuss but it suits Roglic ...will JV bring back the break for Roglic ?
As in, gives him his lunch? Or eats him for lunch?QS should control with hard pace (other than Cattaneo, what exactly have they been doing for ten stages?).
Climb 7, Cattaneo lunches Remco.
Such a beautiful murito
wait, only 20? I thought 30 as ASO lists it as a hilly stage and not a mountain stage
Evenepoel clearly said that he wants to win from the favourites' group, and so far he mostly said the truth. The break is hoping for a break from Remco............
This also means that the favourites group can't take it easy unless they let the whole SQ team and most of the peloton go.Evenepoel clearly said that he wants to win from the favourites' group, and so far he mostly said the truth.
So there's a chance that they'll get a break from him, but this would also mean that Quickstep will chase, of course.
Stage wins are too easy for him, he is tired of itnormally it should be a hard and fast stage anyway, also in the peloton? I'd be surprised if Bahrain doesn't go for it, at least.
Just read that Evenepoel yesterday said that he considers to take it easy (“Cette étape de samedi aurait pu être un objectif concret, dit-il. Mais comme j’ai déjà remporté trois étapes, je vais peut-être tout simplement profiter de ma journée. On verra. De toute façon, je n’ai plus de pression"). That would contradict his statement from the day before, of course - but unless he aims for a team mate to win, I can't really see how this makes sense.
The stage is a fit for him unless Cattaneo has a superb day. In that case Remco could be the decoy. However, I do think Remco has this one marked on his list and his remarks may help to confuse the other teams.normally it should be a hard and fast stage anyway, also in the peloton? I'd be surprised if Bahrain doesn't go for it, at least.

Only reason to take it easy for him is if he wants to save a bullet for Lombardia. But still 3 weeks until that, so I’m not sure it’s a logical decision.Just read that Evenepoel yesterday said that he considers to take it easy (“Cette étape de samedi aurait pu être un objectif concret, dit-il. Ayuso is never making a threat to take 4 minutes. Jumbo's only job today is to police the breakaway so that there's limited amount of UAE, Bahrein or Movistar guys in there. And those teams are much more likely to attack each other and chase each other.I think the chances of the break making it will depend a bit on Remco wanting to enter it or if he just wants to win the stage from the GC group.
In theory a very hilly stage like this one could present a bigger challenge to a pure climber like Kuss than the mountain stages we've had before. I don't think Roglič will go rogue but if someone like Ayuso attacks and he follows instead of Kuss and Vingegård, things could get interesting.
133.427% will probably be enough to win from a break, but perhaps not to do it from the peloton.
What about 133.428%? Is that too small a difference to matter?
