A lot of riders and their directors aren't truthful in interviews, so we'll just have to wait and see the race unfold. And at the same time, new information can change tactics. Kamna and Caruso being in front might also have them putting a guy in for chasing.

I suspect Evenepoel might want to try something just in case Rog has bad legs today. For him it won't even matter if Vingegaard follows because he could put time into one of the Jumbo leaders.

Even if there is northerly wind it would not be headwind for the whole climb purely because of the road direction
