In a way, Johansen caused two crashes. The obvious one when he fell to the ground as number two in the peloton, but he also - indirectly - caused the second crash some meters further back because he had pushed the tempo up as he approached the roundabout. It was simply a too risky move, and he can't blame any other than himself (or his manager who might have urged him to go forward). But I feel sorry for the riders that went down because of this.

Great that Ineos finally let Ganna sprint for the win in a flat stage. Only lost to an in shape Groves which shows his potential in high-speed sprints.

Remco playing it really well to gain 6 more bonus seconds on the overall.

They did although I feel like it was a very minimal kind of letting him go for a sprint considering they made him do the GC lead out before that anyway. Hopefully on stage 7 and beyond they may actually support him with a proper lead out. They certainly have the personnel.

Congrats to Groves for his 2nd win in succession. He looks easily the best sprinter at this Vuelta. I noticed he's been contesting intermediate sprints as well so would be good to see him finish the Vuelta with the green jersey.

Kudos to Ganna he is a real threat when given the opportunity.

I think that if Jumbo fails to drop Remco tomorrow on the MTF or at least gain a few seconds, he has this Vuelta in the bag.

Tomorrow is basically flat with a mtf. All small gains or losses before stage 13 don´t really matter. That, together with stage 14, is where you can isolate Evenepoel and destroy him with surplus in numbers (3 uae, 4 Jumbo,...)

Well Ineos is quite rigid, so while I think that they should put more resources into Ganna, I doubt he can expect more than Heiduk to give him a hand.

That´s what I meant: nothing important will happen before the mtf. But that was before the rumours about Evenepoels sick teammates. But now I can see some teams drilling it from the start to test them. And when they are indeed ill, it will be a brutal stage for the whole peloton.
