You've got to love the unpredictability of this Vuelta! Who would have thought that Dunbar could win the stage from a bunch finish on the flat. Whilst in the GC race, O'Connor losing 38 seconds on that short final climb today may be an indication that he is weakening. Certainly the riders behind will smell blood now but tomorrow is a new day and I still wouldn't like to predict the winner.
O'Connor doesn't like the short, steep climbs. Not the first time it's happened. He looks much better on longer climbs. TT stage will be important for Roglic.

The luck of the Irish. All other attacks got shot down, some even before they had happened, but Dunbar timed it exactly right.

It doesn't look great for O'Connor, by at least he can be happy that Carapaz didn't take that much time out of him, so a podium spot is still likely.

Seems having an Irish-sounding name does not qualify you for the Luck of the Irish.

So muritos is the kryptonite for O'Connor.
O connor says himself that he cannot match accelerations on these climbs..He is much better on the longer stuff. So many on here still writing him off

Being Irish I can tell you there isnt much luck ever. Dunbar who has had a promising career destroyed by crashes so he deserved a bit today

Don't get salty. He is not crap but he is far from his former self and he has been very underwhelming in the high mountains this season.
It’s mostly muritos and long monoclimbs left, not like there are some Galibier-Alpe d’Huez high-mountain stages. Plus there’s the TT. I’m not discounting Mas—I voted for him to win. But I think you’re misreading Roglic.
