Was anyone meant to get away with that flat section at the end? A group of 3-5 would have pulled anyone back with 15 seconds easy

super strong Van Eetvelt...but heart-breaker at the line. 41 seconds down instead of 13 had he won the stage. Hopefully he can make up the time in the next climbs

What the *** is 57 year old seeing out his contract George Bennett doing up there
It seems like Woods and Fuglsang are finally ageing out, and OK, they've had some pretty unexpected mid-career type leaps and bounds forward to prominence from Stevie Williams and Derek Gee, but otherwise IPT are seeing their most prominent results largely coming from young and promising riders, which is extremely out of character. They need a relic of the past to run a quiet bottom end top 10 GT bid, therefore, to restore balance to the universe.

Difference could've been that young Lennert was fooled into thinking that it was Jasper Philipsen attacking and not old man Landismo, wheras Roglic wasn't fooled. He did get a little gap and seemed to surprise a bit though so maybe not.
