Bittner profiting hard from doing races with hardly any good sprinters this season. Two Burgos stages and a Vuelta stage. If Van Uden had this leadout against this sprint field, he would have absolutely smoked them. But now Bittner might have 'stolen' some team hierarchy points.

His contract runs out at the end of the year. I do wonder if some team is foolish enough to throw big money for some stat padding.
 
Back in the day we had Moncoutié who did absolutely nothing all year except for winning the polka dots and a few stages in la Vuelta. It surprises me how there isn't a sprinting equivalent of him yet, because you can just sleepwalk yourself to grand tour stage winner status. A rider genre Bauhaus for example should just do a yearly Vuelta super peak, acquire a monopoly on the sprint stages and go down a legend. The biggest rival you'll see on average is Arne Marit.
