And then your performance goes down on a worse team and lo and behold, you're 9th.Being a superdomestique is great, but being a team leader is a different level altogether.

Almeida has a great ally in HindleyVingegaard looked terrible there in my opinion. And Hindley only lost 4s in the end, I can't be convinced he was significantly weaker than Almeida and Vingegaard considering the pull he did into a headwind.
2nd greatest watt per kilo guy of all time and he's petrified to show it and attack.Vingegaard looks underwhelming. I was expecting a much more easy win in this Vuelta.
I don't need more UAE victories in this Vuelta. To put it mildly.
Because Hindley wants to distance Pidcock for the podiumAlmeida has a great ally in Hindley
Depends on the team. Some guys settle for being #2. Some don't.And then your performance goes down on a worse team and lo and behold, you're 9th.
Almeida would be in the lead if you got bonus seconds for yeeting teammates under the busAlmeida : Actually the plan wasn't to have Marc in the breakaway.

The most logical explanation is simply "he couldn't"I really don't understand Vingegaard's defensive riding here. Of course he's in the lead but not by that much, if he attacks and gains some more time that would ease off a lot of pressure if he has a bad day later on. It feels a bit like watching a football team defending their 1-0 lead halfway into the game, which rarely ends well.
Of course if he doesn't feel well then it's good to just defend, but I don't know if that's actually the case.
Telltale sign of the completely broken power dynamics in current cycling.Me neither. Fair enough if it's Almeida in a GC battle but it's just too much now with all the breakaway wins. 7 out of 13 stages, come on...
Yeah, no. He also didn't throw him under the bus.Almeida would be in the lead if you got bonus seconds for yeeting teammates under the bus
Brilliant final 10k!! Absolutely awesome!! Hindley told team earlier that he had some juice! Great finish.. And slightly wider road today but Vingegaard wasn't having any of that rub me against the guardrail BS from Almeida today. Pidcock looking like doing some interpretive dance to stay on his bike.. What an awesome set-up for final week!Pathetic stage.
Hindley shall be the one to deliver us from evil this Vuelta.Telltale sign of the completely broken power dynamics in current cycling.
