Maybe because Visma realise that the situation in GC is very tight and they shouldn't waste energy doing breaks.

Yeah, a lot of teams are there with mostly climbers, so they would really benefit from that. But Trek could just have Ciccone sit on such a group and have three riders pull Pedersen back after the climbs. Don't think anyone will be able to distance him significantly.

Yeah, well, you can never call out complaining without doing it yourself. That doesn't mean the calling out is unjustified, however.
