Well from what i read on the CN live ticker nothing spectacular today except for Antons bad performance...

VDB and Wiggins are good.

Why has CAS hasn't shown this form in TDF when it really mattered:rolleyes:

Hmm.. Despite Toribio's spectacular blow up on the mountain, he still finished ahead of people like Taramae and Petrov

I'm just glad to hear that the poor lad made it to the top at all.

Is it true Menchov had a mechanical yesterday? He was with the leaders today, and it was a smaller group coming to the line than yesterday.

Probably. Unless his form does a complete 180 I can't see him taking back time anywhere.

I think he has some type of virus/cold/allergy. When Euskaltel was lined up preparing for TTT they zoomed in to Anton and he was twitching his nose oddly as if it was congested or something. Unless he just has a nervous twitch. ;)

That's what Matxin said, yes. He was also suffering a bit though.

Well Anton had some very unstable form at the giro varying from awesome to horrible throughout the race so I guess we can't count him out completely yet.

Except I don't, I bloody love it.

I love that: Luke Skywalker on vocals (as everyone on youtube knows), john belushi on bass and the record that propelled England rugby to the World Cup in 2003 :D:D:D

The high pace for Wiggo will be more to discourage attacks than drop people IMO, its smart racing - the nearer he can get to the finish before they attack the less time they will take off him.

He knows he will take time in the TT.

And Nibali and Liquigas will be happy for him to do it.

I'd say his inability to be good 2 weeks in a row is a pretty good reason to count him out.

Taaramae think that this Vuelta is so hard for everybody, that contending for overall might still be available! (not sure that he looked how much he lost tho ) Anyway he will probably go stagehunting from now on and will not retire. (obv.)

This is what Menchov said:
"I had many problems. My saddle became dislodged in the descent of Alto del Berro, then someone fell near me and I almost had to stop. So I came to the last climb in a bad position, there were some groups, I went through the top at 15 or 20 seconds behind the peloton, however, the difference increased to 1:23 on the downhill. It's a shame because I have good legs, I'm in good shape."

I guess we can't discard him, just yet.

Sorry Jens :(

He doesn't climb as good as Voeckler although I'd love to see him hold on to that jersey for a while. Although if they go hard from the bottom of Valdepenas he might lose it..

If he has any intention of racing the Tour next year, he'd better give them a reason to invite him. Nobody else on Geox is going to do it.

Yeah, that's true. When I saw him weaving like that I immediately thought "Tom Simpson".... Glad he was OK, and obviously not in too bad of shape

I see all the Movistar riders except Pardilla and Bruseghin lost alot of time today. Can either of these two finish high in the overall?

Mollema didn't have much trouble staying in the group today, he told his ds it was effortless. Kruijswijk wanted to attack but the climb was too flat (5%) for him. He did counter Nibali but then they realised the climb wasn't hard enough when the whole group was still there.
LL Sanchez was at his limit but was satisfied as it was his best mountain result at Rabobank so far.
