Someone should have taken more time on Igor when they had the chance. Looks so much better.

Yup, though we shouldn't get too excitable too quickly. Maybe the rumours of his demise could turn out to be premature now that we're out of the scorching temperatures and back into more manageable ones.

Of course, all this time JRod gains will be wiped out about 2 kilometers into the time trial...

He gained 50 seconds on nibali today, with the bonification. Starting to amount to something.

Beautiful.

Absolutely beautiful.

He crushed them.

Scarponi is an awesome rider on these types of finishes but he was made to look very average.

Another crap day for BMC at la vuelta, at least they tried:eek:.
This Hill top finishes would have been much more exciting if gilbert and evans were included.

Meh, this is the type of thing he's been doing best since his accident in the '09Vuelta. Results at places like the Giro dell'Emilia.

In general though. Failed completely in the Tour hence the expectations were not really that high for this Vuelta.

Nibbles losing major time! Jurgen stupid enough to not sprint for third and Anton and Menchov coming through after all, great stage :D

Well, it's difficult to perform when you're not 100%.

Yea but he's not being asked to sacrifice himself for the Schlecks, so that they can usher Gilbert through ahead of them.

I hope Anton is good enough to bring it on the coming MTFs now, he looked MUCH better today. I thought it was Nieve at first, but my jaw dropped when I saw it was Anton

Weak day for Nibali, or genuinely gimpy from the crash. Tomorrow will tell.

Time gaps were pretty muted apart from Jrod, who starts 3 minutes behind everyone else, so good watching, but probably not that decisive for GC.
