The climb is harder than those in Andalucia but there is also a descent to the finish which will probabbly make a diffrances smaller. According to biciciclismo, Vacansoleil will not ride (on the other hand wielerland have a full Vanacsoleil lineup for Murcia so i guess they will ride at all) and i dont know about Dumoulin, it was just a thought ;)

if you are a kelderman fan I wouldn't hope for a long descent as kelderman is a horrible downhiller

So it's Euskaltel, Movistar, Andalucia, Caja Rural, Orbea, Spanish national team, Burgos, Gios Deyser (who are these guys?), Rabo, Vacansoleil, 1t4i, NetApp, NSP, Russian national team, Rusvelo, Endura, CCC, Topsport and Carmin-Prio.

because he crashes in downhils all the time and also because a friend told me this who saw him race in avenir 2010
Right. All I know is that he did indeed crash a lot, and that this was partly because when it was dark or raining he could barely see anything. He has now had his eyes lasered.

I think it's a bit ridiculous to say someone can't descend, when you've never actually seen them do it.

Gios Deyser-Leon Kastro = former KTM-Murcía, before that Heraklion Kastro-Murcía, merger of Greek team Heraklion Kastro-Nessebar and the remnants of the former Contentpolis-AMPO team after they fell apart post-2009 Vuelta. Paco Mancebo rode for them in 2010. No real big names to speak of, but if you've followed Iberian cycling for a while you'll certainly be familiar with ex-Barbot, Contentpolis and Xacobeo sprinter Francisco Pacheco, ex-Andalucía journeyman Jaume Rovira and former Footon rider Pedro Merino. They bolstered their name value recently by signing former Caisse d'Epargne, Footon and Lampre man Aitor Pérez Arrieta too. The rest of the squad is made up of Greeks and Iberians, mostly youngsters with a couple of journeymen thrown in.

Isn't Samu able to win this? He was ok in Andalucia and it's not that many top climbers here.

I've no idea how JTL tt's though

Well, at the TOB last year he finished 18th in the 10km TT 36 seconds behind the winner Alex Dowsett. That's about the only comparison I can think of to be honest. I'd say he's average at best.

Key names here:
1 Alex Dowsett
2 Lars Boom +5
3 Lieuwe Westra s/t
4 Stephen Cummings +9
5 Geraint Thomas +16
6 Alexander Wetterhall +19
7 Michael Rogers s/t
8 Thor Hushovd +23
10 Joost Posthuma +26
13 Mark Cavendish +28
15 Lars Ytting Bak +30
16 Linus Gerdemann +31
17 Jack Bauer +32
18 Jonathan Tiernan-Locke +36
26 Matthew Brammeier +49

from a nice 5 day race to last year 3 stages and now only 2. They better stop with it and use the money left to make for instance the Vuelta a Andalucia a bit bigger with better coverage.
Funny that after all the Spanish teams there are also 3 dutch teams, they really like Spain i guess.

The race is mostly funded by local government and business. They would hardly use the money to back Vuelta Andalucia if this race disappeared, at the best of times.
