Woutje FTW! He can occasionally TT really well (and also occasionally really bad).

A quick look at results (in case I have forgotten something) didn't turn up any really good TTs.

JTL just third 0_0

what the hell happened there?does he has a weakness after all?did he overtook it on the descent?isn't JTL perfectly sublime?
he will smoke them in the time trial no doubt
JTL just got outdescended by a tiny Colombian, that's all. Nothing to worry about.

I said occasionally. But Quintana should win this.

I don't think it was on the descent that Samu lost time, but he's arguably the most overrated descender out there.

Isn't he a prologue/short TT specialist?

Yes, but it's 21 seconds to Hoogerland in 6th, 27 to Sanchez in 5th and 37 to the podium.

Maybe he will let it rip, but the TT is only 11km, IIRC.

There's also mention of a serious crash by Rafa Valls, maybe Samu was behind him.

It's a very technical descent, in 8 kms you can lose a lot of time.

Oh, well it's a bit of a mystery why he doesn't climb that well. He is built like Leipheimer/Porte. A small light rider.

Great win for Quintana, and it looks like this was a great race.
Also good results for JTL and Poels. :)

JTL is Quintana's equal, who would have thought... can't the Giro organizers switch NetApp for Endura?

No, they can't. Endura isn't ProContinental.

I know that. This is what's called a joke.

Kelderman had a flat in the final descent. He was with the Gesink group. Too bad.

According to jtl, for 7km of the climb Quintana sat on jtl and did no work (climb was into headwind) then he attacked a km from the top
