El Pisti will be depressed that JTL beat Poels :D

And you'll be depressed JTL was beaten by Quintana, a rookie that's still green after his ears.

It's not like beating Poels in a time trial is an achievement or anything.

Tweet from JTL:

Yup, still hate TT's! 6 secs off GC win is irritating, but didn't even expect a podium so I'm happy really. Great ride by @wetterhall today!

just another example of the Colombian conquest:)
Quintana has indeed a very bright future ahead & hopefully Movistar would nurture his talent properly:)

Heres another ;)

@GeraintThomas Don't think my columbian room mate Rigo, is into rugby mind... #alwaysasleep

fantastic picture. it's amazing he already wins a stagerace like this at age 22. he is a real winner, like rujano despite his shortcomings. his strenghts outweight them and he's mentally so strong and determined

Quintana dropped JTL 1.5km after the climb begun. JTL attacked at the foot and Quintana was with him until he was tired of JTL and attacked himself.

JTL was dropped far before the downhill began and was even caught by Poels. Poels dropped JTL in downhill. End of story.
Even JTL has clear limits it sees. Porte from Algarve would have probably killed him too

wow. what a bunch of lies then if true, on the twitter/website whatever of endura.

quintana great talent
i am very happy for him
he is avery motivated guy , with lot of ambitions.
better engine than ruyano and better attitude

as i told you last year, the escarabajos are coming back, the golden age of lucho herrera will be renewed

he he a better attitude than rujano, but no bigger engine. still he is a little les limited as quintana is a little bigger and doesn't seem to suffer from digesting sugars late in a stage

What happened to Quintana last year. Seems today like he is very much the talent people thought he might be but last year he showed nothing.

wow. again utter bs. which I come to accept is your norm here. you didn't sene any race then. in castilla y leon he pulled the gas handle a bit and only pozzovivo, anton, baez and atapuma were left in his wheel

I think we can all agree that JTL was clearly the strongest once again and only denied by some EPIC wheelsucking which Levi himself would be proud of. To say otherwise is a refusal to accept facts. I fully expect JTL to crush all in the TT.

reality bites you in the as.s it must hurt :)

You may be right. I was impressed with Pantano's effort in Montepaschi Strade Bianche. He ran out of gas in the last 15km's or so but still a good effort.

he was in the break the whole day and still was there in the final. he amazed me too. seem to have a big engine and adapted to more "european" types of racing

Why? what does it say?

they said quintana wheelsucked and tiernan locke got tired in the end of the climb because of the headwind and then quintana attacked with 1 k to go. that is something entirely else than tiernan locke trying to drop quitnana on multiple ocassions btu helding on and then crack tiernan locke in the final kms. which seems to me a lot more like reality as tiernan locke is explosive unlike quintana.

Impressive stuff from Quintana this weekend. Forget the JTL hype, this guy is the real deal.

true that. quintana is from 1990 and tiernan locke is from 1984.

I'm incredibly happy with this win for him.

Now don't be so hasty. Quintana might win a couple of Giros and even a Tour, but he ain't JTL.

do we have pictures yet of quintana holding toyguns and looking tough?

That's part of what makes the JTL story so interesting. Laid down by Epstein Barr Virus, retired, then came back.

The stuff of movies ;)
