You need to read the prior post. Mas was the only other rider in the area code at that time. Pogacar manhandled the entire field for that 15km run-in and Mas was the only one to take up a meaningful fight.

I think the best way to play it is to do the leadout with fewer riders and have Pogacar on Covis wheel to start with. Pogacar can even close the door or let a gap go, and if someone overtakes Covi he can just take that rider to school

Congratulations to Tadej Pogačar for taking the overall. And to Omar Fraile Matarranza for taking the stage win.

What a robbery indeed. UAE not winning all the stages. Moho tried but unfortunately the descend was not hard enough. Bahrain finishing second and third in GC somehow still feels rather empty handed. Emotionally vise and considering the team strength. Mas got the least out of this race. Due to early mechanical. But he for sure got some new fans. Realistically upcoming races should be a bit harder for Pogi. And it will be interesting to see if he can keep winning in such fashion.
