On that last sprint he knew what was coming and checked behind after Pog passed him to see if 2nd place was in jeopardy. He knows his own strength right now if you watch that race finish because no one else was in the picture except Tadej. He's strong and maybe will get stronger. He'll need to because there's some serious players coming his way.

surprisingly, there was no fight for the break today. Colleoni, de Bondt, Fetter, Eenkhoorn, Isasa, van Gestel and van Hemelden went clear basically from the gun.

Bahrain/Ineos has to try it on the longer climb today. Try to at least isolate Pog.

Then try to take turns attacking Pog on the descent/flat towards the finish. Make him cover the attacks.

Intermarché and Movistar are controlling. They are hoping for a sprint with Bonifazio and Cortina probably.

I think it will be difficult for Caruso to set such a hard pace that Majka drops from the peloton. Haig has to be used, but then there is still far to the finish. To succeed, I think Landa and Buitrago have to force the pace on the climb.

No fireworks today. Movistar and Intermarché set the pace now that the peloton is on the hardest part of the climb. Bahrain is far from the front, sitting behind UAE.
