What type of rider would you guys say Slagter is (or will be)? He looks promising.
I saw him for the first time in the Settimana Lombarda last year, as an espoir, duking it out with Ricco and Scarponi on an explosive finish. I think he could turn into that kind of rider, an Ardennes type climber.

Why is Mollema part of some running joke around here? He's a great talent, had a great Giro last year and is still only 24. Just asking since I'm not very active on this forum...

I see. Thanks man. If that's the case I will be keeping an eye out for him.

Something ACF started.

We took over. It's just a way of overhyping a very talented climber.

Back in the team car, sports director Nicolas Portal was full of praise for Cioni’s efforts before giving us an injury update on Possoni, who was forced to abandon the race soon after he crested the Penon.

“As for Morris, there are no major problems but he took a big bang to his head today and also suffered many cuts and bruises. We managed to ride him back into the bunch but he got dropped on that first climb so we decided to pull him out as a precautionary measure with next month’s races in mind.

Further down the results, good ride by Chris Froome today bearing in mind he had been doing some work for the sprinters in the previous 2 stages. Could ride a good tt too.

I was just thinking "hmmm, Santí Pérez could actually be a threat here".

He'll be looking to be in really good shape at the moment - mid to late April is a peak for these smaller Spanish stage races that the Portuguese teams can actually go to. I'm assuming Asturias is the main one he's targeting, since it's his home race and he won the Subida al Naranco last year, which unfortunately isn't continuing but has been reintegrated into the Asturias race as an MTF instead of the Oviedo city finish (yay).

Froome's tt'ing has been getting better and better. Could/Should move himself inside the top ten.

Another stirling performance from our Richie.
Clearly Riis has him on Andy's old racing programme of doing squat until July, when he will suddenly find his super charger.

As for the ITT, it must be another Rabo romp, no?
They certainly have the clock nailed to the wall, this season.
