Amazing to see somebody climb Aia on their TT bike, but really Tony should probably have changed.

Beñat Intxausti > Tony, but then Tony was only 2" up on him at the timecheck in Orio, so you'd expect Intxausti on form (as he should be here as he's been the main mountain domestique for Movistar and it's his home race) to make up more than that on a climb of THOSE characteristics anyway.

Dumoulin is a monster for a course like this though. Strong against the clock and reasonably punchy, that was impressive.

Wow, the guy is amazing, he's a decent climber, good in short prologues, able to outsprint Matthews in a hard stage and is the clear leader in a hilly Pais Vasco ITT right now.

Izagirre underway, Aupa Ion! Very good time triallist and punchy climber, this might suit him as a route. On the other hand though, he has done a lot of work as a domestique for Quintana...

Great time by Dumoulin. It won't be enough, but very impressive on a climbers course like this indeed. Especially considering the fact that he was 12 seconds down on Intxausti at the immediate.
