Ah easy to spot Nibali today, white shirt, he's young... inside! (I know it's not youth classification)

I am always confused when I cannot spot him in his Bahrain jersey. Before I remembered he is wearing the white jersey I thought he wasn`t in the leader group anymore.

What is with the top 10 GC guys...only riders that can let Kruijswijk go are Froome and Nibali. Chavez? Aru? Lopez? Kelderman? Zakarin? Contador?
No interest in defending their position or are they convinced that Kruijswijk will blow himself up.

It's the Vuelta. No interest in a random top 10!

Kruijswijk has shown nothing so far that warrants a fullly committed defense from the teams of those you mention

Big chapeau, they are not defending their top-10, this is how all riders should be.

Sky on the front, it's over.
Maybe Astana were deliberately going slow? Clutching at straws here. :D Purche was always the better bet for a long ranger attack, but this ascent didn't hurt Sky one bit.

The way it should be! Not like the clowns who helped Froome chase down Bardet during the TdF this year...

Armee is climbing really well this Vuelta. Maybe the kid has got a future as proper breakaway specialist?

Don't think Astana were defending top 10, they were just being stupid

Romain Bardet (AG2R-La Mondiale), who perfectly knows the area, described the stage for lavuelta.com: “The Sierra Nevada is a very high altitude place, it's interesting for training. You can go there early in the season because it's far in the South of Europe. This place has many advantages for good trainings. I know the last climb very well… But that doesn't mean I like it. It's a wide road, it's a nightmare for a lone rider. It's ideal for a rider like Chris Froome. The climbs before are very hard. But the last stretch is perfect for the Team Sky's train, groups should get together. It's not a good stage for attackers.”

No ***.
