What can even happen here? Sky is almost at full strength and other teams don't have doms in the break (and they catch up the break quickly if they up the tempo early on Purche). Aru to superdom for 10km on Nevada?

Nothing now. They should have done a hard pace or something on the previous climb.. They didn't. So easy stage now

Team Sky is winning psychological battle easily, this part of cycling matters a lot, they're in da place. How others teams could broke the black machine ? It's simple : harassment from km 0 to the finish line.

They seem to be implying on Eurosport that Froome is having a bad day? Are they trying to keep viewers interested or are there any actual signs of that ?

Hard to say as it's not Kelly saying it but Kirby so take it with a pinch of salt.

Froome having a bad day is the only meaningful thing that could happen to this stage. But of course, he's not having a bad day.

Astana's riding for some reason though, if Lopez was just stage hunting he would latch onto the Sky train and then attack near the end somewhere. Something will happen on Purche, but Sky looks more than ready.

Astana going fast on the flat and slow on the climb. Makes sense when you want to hurt other teams.
If they went too hard on Hazallanas they would just burn up LLS and Lutsenko, weakening themselves relative to their rivals. Better to have them survive that and set a high pace on the flat and start of El Purche where domestiques who aren't great climbers can be more useful.

Froome is so lucky that his supposed bad days only happen when he already has 4+ minutes advantage from the nearest competition. So it's just not happening today.

Lopez certainly seems to be the only guy in the race who can beat Froome on climbs, today's his chance to confirm this.
