God I dislike Poels and Froome so much.

Im sure they wouldn't care for you either but not sure they would be bothered right now. Plenty to celebrate. Contador winning his last GT mountain stage and the double for Froome and Sky.

That's a reason to weap.

Poels was almost freewheeling on the freaking Angliru. This farce will last another decade.

Farce - you mean a team you dislike intensely continuing to win Tours?

Contador attacked from far out and rode the 4th fastest ascent with a headwind
No... poels and froome were faster...
I'm talking about today

Surely Poels and Froome were faster today, Alberto started the climb with a bigger advantage than he finished?
How can so many people miss the "4th" :D

Aside from Eclipse we assumed Red Rick meant 4th all time

In other news, Gianni Moscon finished 13th.

Let that settle in for a minute.

Gianni Moscon. Thirteenth. On the Angliru.

One stage too far for Kelderman. Great win by Contador, good ride also by Zakarin. Froome as expected and Nibali about the same. Lopez and Aru off the back early.

Maybe Contador was given a gift, but he'll take it!

It looked like every other rider was pulling for him in the last few km.

He and Pantano only had a 10s lead 12ks to go, he might still be fastest today

5 Sky inside top 19.

Moscon will need to make a decision on what to specialise in - Cobbles, Ardennes or Grand Tours.

Congratulations to Alberto! What a way to finish his career - win on legendary Angliru! It looked like he would be on Vuelta podium but he weakened during last 2 km and GC contenders accelerated. Congratulations to Froome on winning very difficult double. BTW Sky overtuned one of their bots - Poels was the strongest man on Angliru.

Shame that Nibali did not have the legs to attqck. Not that ti would have made any difference. Froome was in great shape today, so no chances for GC anyway.

Congrats to Froome.

At least Nibali can take comfort in knowing that his team performed very well and will probably be even better next year.

Yes, his main helper on the climbs, Pellizotti, will be better next year...
By better I meant new signings like Pozzovivo

Very nice of Sky to give Bertie enough of a buffer that they could attack the others without spoiling the day for them

Nice last ride for Contador, good to see him go out with a win

Froome cements his position as a legendary GT rider and the best of his generation. Hopefully see him tackle the Giro one day

Bertie attacked from a long way out . He does not have any team mates to drag him along . What a stupid comment . If this was switched Froome would have been caught. Unbelievable stupidity and once agin proves my point that sky fans can't stand seeing their boy lose and when he does they try and take something away from the victory of others. Froome could never have matched that climb by Bertie , a rider who as attacked day after day with out much help from anyone . He's s been easily the best climber and strongest rider of this tour and it's a shame what happened early on. Could you imagine if he did not have to attack as he has been doing the damage he would have done to Froome. It would have been a easier victory than when he beat him at the vuelta in 2014 . Funky awesome . The best rider for decades .
Congrats to Froome a another shall we say solid bot victory. But as usual luck was on his side and the best rider of this tour won today's stage and the rest of the competition is just not that good . Nibs was very disappointing.

For some reason this makes me think of when Devolder finished 11th at the Vuelta. Moscon likely could have done something similar if racing for himself.
